Media Center Master Control
The Master Control room in the Media Center is designed for live multi-camera production. A Ross digital Synergy One SEG (special effects generator) can "visually mix" a variety of video sources to create the program you watch on television; the internet or on DVD.
Cameras include 4) Sony D-50 Digital Widescreen cameras with studio “box lenses” designed for 4:3 or 16:9 imaging. All programs are mastered on disc using Sony’s new XD Cam recording systems. Other video sources include DV Cam, Beta Cam SP, and older Umatic ¾ SP recorder/ players. Graphic sources include the Avid / Pinnacle Deko Character Generator for “supers” and a Global Streams graphic, & still store system for full screen graphics. Closed Captioning systems are also located in the master control area; however captioning is actually keyed in remotely from trained captioning personnel. Telephone lines and modems provide for monitoring of our mixing consoles sound, and control of our captioning encoders.
Grove is a live broadcast!
The Master Control room is a very busy place on Sunday mornings as a dedicated volunteer crew of up to 16 people work to create three programs simultaneously. These programs include; support for the worship service, the live broadcast known as The Victory Hour, and the recorded program for national broadcast known as Words of Victory. The Master Control room has the capability of closed circuit distribution to other main assembly areas including the gym. The Master Control room at Grove was made possible though donations from television viewers, and through the work provided by volunteers. The church helps maintain this facility but has not currently funded any Video production equipment. Editing & Projection
Editing systems were made possible by private donations from television viewers and friends of the media ministry of Grove. Broadcast Sound
